アロマセラピーとの出会い～My first time with aromatherapy～

それまで、アロマセラピーというと、
好きな香りをアロマポットに入れて楽しむ、「芳香浴」しか知りませんでした。

ちょうど１年前、オーストラリアに滞在中、
近所に日本人の先生がやっていらっしゃるアロマ教室があることを知り、
受講料も手軽だったこともあって、
申し込みをしました。

全部で８回のクラスは、
入門レベルとしては適度な回数ながら、
思っていた以上に奥深いアロマの世界を見ることができました。

レッスンでは（日本語）、
アロマセラピーの歴史から、
それぞれの植物の種類、効用、また、それらの香りを実際にかぐこともできました。
また、レッスンごとにメニューが変わるクラフト制作では、
アロマオイル（エッセンシャルオイル）を活用して、
アロマの世界をもっと身近に感じられる方法を知ることができました。

ここで教わったこと、先生のご助言を元に、
クラフト制作をして友人にもアロマグッズをプレゼントしましたが、
香りも効果も評判が良かったです。
今も時々先生からアドバイスを頂きながら、
アロマグッズのバリエーションを増やしています。
このブログでも、紹介していけたらなと思っています。

Until when I met the school a year ago, only “aromatherapy” I knew was that putting favourite essential oils on a pot (so called “aromatic bath/inhalation”).

And a year ago whilst I was in Australia, I met “Marvo Aroma School” where I took lessons in Japanese from a fantastic Japanese teacher.
During the lessons, we learn a lot from the history of aromatherapy to various kinds of plants that give us aromatic blessing.
The number of classes is 8, which is reasonable for beginners, but I learned much more than I had expected.
We also made something with essential oils at every lesson, such as shampoo & conditioner, lotion, facial pack, cologne. I still make something with aroma oils.
What I learned there let me continue studying aromatherapy even after I came back to Japan.
I would like to share about my aroma experience with you on this blog.
