石鹸について~Choosing soaps~

ソープカービングは、 いい石鹸選びも必要です。 どんな石鹸でも彫ることはできると思いますが、 粉を吹いてしまったり、 途中で割れてしまったりすることもあります。 やはり、ソープカービング発祥の地、タイの石鹸（その中でも特にソープカービング向きのもの）は 一番彫りやすいみたいです。 ただし、タイのソープを輸入するには数に制限があり、また、石鹸は重いため郵送費の方が石鹸本体よりはるかに高い、という難点があります（笑）。 私が普段使っている石鹸は、 石鹸専門メーカーのペリカンさんが発売している石鹸を使っています。 オンライン販売もなさっているので、 日本どこからでも購入可能です。 それと、ダヴもたまに使います。 誰もが知る、植物物語も彫りやすいそうです。 残念ながら、ミューズはまったく彫れませんでした（笑）。 今、実は、石鹸作りにも興味津々な私。 いつかは、自分で作った石鹸でカービングができるといいな！ ==================== It is essential to choose a good soap for carving. We can carve on any kind of soap (I believe), but in order to make good one, we have to be careful in choosing the material. Even an expensive soap can get dry quite fast, or easily crack while we are making works. It seems to be the best to use Thai soap (especially designed for carving), which is the cradle land of this art. (but the number of soap to import is limited, and postage seems much more expensive than the material itself lol) I am now interested in creating soaps from scratch too. I hope, in the future, I will be able to carve on my own soaps.
